Bread Ingredients:

  • 2 tbsp active dry yeast

  • 2 tbsp sugar

  • 1.5 cups of warm water

  • 1 tsp salt

  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil

  • 4 cups of flour

Filling

  • 6 cups thinly sliced peeled tart apples
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • Dough for double-crust pie
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 large egg
  • additional sugar
  1. Preheat oven to 375°

  2. In a small bowl, combine sugars, flour and spices; set aside.

  3. In a large bowl, toss apples with lemon juice. Add sugar mixture; toss to coat.
