The Secret To Repairing Damaged Hair

A couple of years ago, I did the infamous “big chop” and later on damaged my hair by applying lots of heat, quick trendy hairstyles, and not giving enough it TLC. This then prompted me to do another big chop! And this time, I tried keeping a routine that avoided using heat to keep my hair healthy. For my 25th birthday, I decided to get a sleek blow dry since it had been a while, and just like that my hair was heat damaged.

Now and then I do regret the day I blowdried my hair because it hasn’t been the same since then. However, a big chop is not in the game plan and is not something that I aspire to do. Instead, nowadays, I find myself trying to find the best product not only to repair the sections of my hair that are heat damaged but to bring my hair back to life altogether.

Here’s how I repair my damaged hair:

I recently discovered the Pantene Intense Rescue Shots the other day, and I am also a massive fan of hair masks, so it was a no brainer for me to try the Pantene One Step Nourishing Mask. I’ve used other products from Pantene and have fallen in love with them, so of course, I was excited when I discovered this kit and mask. This kit promises to repair extremely damaged hair and chile my hair needed it.

Pantene products usually keep my hair smelling good, which is a plus. Towards the front of my hair, my hair strands are dry, brittle, and sort of split. Yes, I do get trims, but repairing my hair while I do trims are essential. I love how my hair feels afterward, it’s highly moisturized and feels softer. I used one tube at a time and saved the other two for the following weeks to come. I generally tend to deep condition on Saturdays, so looks like I will be using Pantene products for the entire month.

Now let’s talk about the hair mask! Hair mask always keeps my hair feeling alive, refreshed, revived, and healthy. The packet suggests you keep the product on your hair for a total of 10-15 minutes. For me, I like to keep the mask on a little while longer, totaling 30 minutes. Although it’s not required, I sometimes want to sit under the dryer and let the product seep into my scalp and work its magic.

All in all, I can’t wait to update you all on how the products did my hair justice or if it ever did. I am not sure what my hair texture is, but I will be sure to have before and after photos for you all in my next post, so stay tuned.
